Well, the new layout is not as beautiful as I imagined, but it's much better than what it looked like before. I decided to put my Christmas Tree up on my blog, since I can't really put one up in the apartment. There's not a whole lot of room, and I'm a whole lot of lazy. So there you go!
I was very sad today when I got home. Have you ever had one of those days when all of the small things add up to just overwhelm you? Today was that day. I tried to stay positive, I really did. There's just something about coming home that makes my defenses drop, and then I just let it all out. So after that happened, Lissa and I went shopping. We went for the classy experience and decided to hit Grapevine Mills. We both got some good deals. But not before I yelled at the foreign man who was assaulting women's hands with lotion. I hate those kiosk people. So pushy. And then there was the Starbuck's barista whose name of choice for me was "sweetheart". DEATH. I hate pet names! Gag! When I went back up to the counter to ask for some honey for my tea, she called me "babe". DOUBLE DEATH! I really wanted to tell her how awkward it was for her to call me such names when we were clearly strangers-but I figured I had done enough damage by being mean to kiosk man. But I sure did tell her off vicariously through Lissa, yes I did.
Just getting out of the house and doing something definitely got me out of my funk from the day. I think that was a good plan-to try and get my mind off of the day instead of sitting on the couch in my sweatpants and stewing over it all night. And if you know me, you know how much I love my sweaty sweats and the couch... so I say progress for me.
The end.

that is a beautiful christmas tree! i sort of wish we had one.
that way when we assume our couch positions we would have something to look at during the commercials.
