God Jul!

Okay I know I'm supposed to be working on grad school homework, but I wanted to play around with my blog. I'm getting jealous of all of your beautiful blogs, and mine is over here, looking all forlorn and plain. It's not much of an improvement, but I tried. I'll work more on it later. I hope I'll get to take some pictures over Christmas break. I'm embarrassed about how small my camera is compared to my ginormous tripod, complete with carrying case that makes me look like Hiawatha hunting in the forest (thanks dad). But it's a good camera, and I need some new abstract stuff. I also want to finish up some of my cool Christmas gifts, and I need my special photos to do that! Maybe next weekend.

Today I had a busy day. I went to UIL and it was fine. It's so neat to see how many kids and teachers we have compared to the other schools. My kiddos finished kind of early, but hopefully thay did a good job.

After that, I went to help my friends Casey and Chris move! They bough a house, and are finally out of apartment land! This couldn't have come at a better time for them, because Casey is pregnant! They sure would have been cramped in their one bedroom apartment! I basically carried all the little stuff- I didn't want to overdo it with my back. Especially since I'm trying to pump up my exercising routine. I assembled their desk. I put their clothes in the closet. I made the bed. Just little stuff that's annoying when you're moving. I hope they are enjoying their first day in their very own home!

After that, I went over to the Wooden Spoon in plano. It's a little Scandinavian shop that Mr. Beck (a friend from school) is always telling me about. We are both very interested in our heritage. He is Norwegian, and I am Swedish. So we usually talk about traditions and whatnot around this time of year. Today at the Wooden Spoon there was a cookie festival. Free cookies? say no more. I'm so there. It was really neat! They had ALL KINDS of cookies from Norway, Sweden, and Finland. They were delicious! I also got some shopping in for my Christmas Around the World Presentation. I bought some Children's books about Christmas in Sweden, and a few ornaments to go on my class tree! I even got some stickers that say "God Jul" (Merry Christmas in Swedish). I hope my class will like them!

Okay, now that I have that out of my system, it's time for homework.
