Weekend of Holiday Happenings

School is out! I am taking my break and trying to enjoy it with the people I care about the most. On Friday night, I went out with my coworkers for a holiday dinner party. It was nice! Afterward, the party really got started at Sharon and Dave's with ROCKBAND. I'm not gonna lie, I'm pretty mean on the fake drums on the easy setting. I had never played it before, so I was excited to try it out.

Saturday, I laid around in sweatpants all day. I cleaned and watched 3 Falalala Lifetime movies. On Saturday night, Cheryl and I went to dinner and a movie. It was really fun! We ate at one of my favorites, Main Street Bakery. I haven't eaten there in a long time, and I used to go to breakfast there all the time when I lived in the Shops. We had wine, appetizers, dinner and dessert. It was lovely. Afterward we walked over to the Angelika to see Doubt. I really enjoyed it. Kind of a dark movie for the Holiday season of Cheer- but that's how I do. I sort of like downers. Makes me feel better about my life - "Hey at least I'm not a nun...yet."

This is Cheryl and I having fun at a friends wedding. We basically act like this anytime we are together.

Then on Sunday, I went to the Nutcracker! It was so fun. Lissa got tickets for me and Amanda for Christmas. We dressed up and went to Bass Hall in Fort Worth to watch the ballet. We had so much fun! The dinner we had beforehand was good, but interesting. We were in the wine room, so waiters kept coming in and leaning over us to get bottles of wine out. We felt weird. Then we had a run in with an elevator wench in the performance hall, which almost made us late for the show. Alas, we prevailed against the wench and were in our seats in plenty of time.

Here we are in the wine room. Eating a smorgasboard of food. except Amanda.

She had a 4 leaf salad that she had to cut all on her own! Poor girl.

All in all, I had an eventful weekend. I don't imagine that the rest of my 2 weeks will be this fun-filled. Therefore I'm pacing the fun. Hopefully I won't get too bored! If I start posting every hour on the hour, someone may want to call me and help me out of my slump...
